Laughing at Alexa's Antics

Gideon believes that his mom is the funniest person on Earth, whether she's playing peek-a-boo with him or playing a childhood game and singing at the same time. As you will see in the video, Gideon almost falls down laughing.

Oh by the way, the breathing in the background. It's not Darth Vader getting ready to disrupt the fun times. It's me. I had to run from one side of the apartment to the other to get this on video. In other words, I was a bit out of breath. Please ignore it.

Also, the quality of the video isn't that great. Otherwise, enjoy!

Piano Symphony & Daddy's Baseball Cap

Alexa went off to take a nap because carrying life (Baby Soto #2) is no cake walk. Though, I should really watch my words. The mere mention of any food right now will probably mean going out to get her something she's craving, whether it'd be a piece of cake, a hot fudge sundae, a mango sorbet or a baked potato. Yes, you read right, a baked potato... at 11 pm... when all the potatoes think they have survived the day without being eaten. In fact, I don't think I ever saw her eating one or even mentioning her affinity with the baked potato throughout our whole relationship. Good thing Wendy's is only about 5 minutes away.

Back to the topic at hand. During Alexa's nap, the Gidster and I had about an hour time to fill. So I put my baseball cap on him and then the fun began.

Below are 2 videos. On the first one, Gideon creates his first piano concerto..with a little bit of singing and dancing too. On the second one, he walks around hiding his face with my baseball cap to sneak up on me.

Self Diagnosis

Ok, so I am not a doctor. I don't even play one on TV. (that was totally cheesey, I apologize.) However, I have realized one thing: when I consume a milk product, I get sick. I usually start my day with either a bowl of cereal, or a yogurt. And everyday, I feel awful. The other day, I did not have either, and I felt ok. So, I have concluded that I may be lactose intolerent during this pregnancy. Today, no dairy. Feeling fine. Yesterday, yogurt and pudding. Felt like I was going to die. Oh, how was my Valentine's Day, you ask? FELT LIKE I WAS GOING TO DIE.

The one highlight of my day? (I should probably say my sweet husband and my adorable son, right?) Nope, it was these cookies. One of my co-workers is known as being THE BAKER. Whenever she makes something, people push each other out of the way to get to the staff room. It's ridiculous, really. She made these delicious, pink frosted sugar cookies. They were like bites of heaven.

A Different Kind of Pregnancy

I thought I was pretty prepared for this pregnancy, despite it being a surprise. I mean, I was already pregnant once right? Things don't change that much. Except of course, that being pregnant with Gideon was cake. No morning sickness at all. I remember being disappointed, actually, that I didn't have morning sickness. I thought having it would make me FEEL more pregnant.

Well, guess what? I FEEL pregnant now. I have been sick for about 3 weeks with a cold/sinus infection. It has been miserable, especially since I couldn't really take any cold tablets. I ended up having to take antibiotics. Plus, on top of that, I have been nauseous and throwing up. Pretty picture, huh? As I type this, I am feeling sick. I can't really eat anything without having acid indigestion. Tums is my new best friend. I am at work, and the staff bathroom is out of order(AGAIN). If I have to throw up, I have to take the children's bathroom key, and run in there. And let me tell you, the smell of that bathroom is enough to make anyone hurl.

Did I mention that I get whiney when I am pregnant? Someone make it s-t-o-p.
